Marketing is a brand conversation with the market.
My typical conversation with a client:
Client: I want Marketing!
Me: Ok, cool, why?
Client: I’m desperate. I spend eight thousand dollars on Facebook ads and influencers, and I don’t have any sales. I need sales now!
Me: I understand. What you really want are sales that are supported by marketing. Show me please your Business Model, Competition Analysis, and YOY Google Analytics.
Client: I don’t have.
Me: No problem. I use data science to calculate customer interactions and relationship value to communicate brand values that drive measurable performance. It is a success-proven method. I practice what I call Science Marketing (Sci-Marketing) and I follow specific procedures to bring real results and increase sales.
I’m sorry that you have spent so much on “social media presence” without achieving your goals. It happens because marketing is a complex process and it’s not easy to manage it if someone doesn’t have experience.
This answer often disappoints people. They think that if they throw a bunch of advertisements on Facebook or other social media, sales would magically skyrocket itself. It can happen only if the campaign is backed with competition and price-pointing research, data analysis, and calculated strategy. Without a scientific approach, you won’t get your sales by spending thousands of dollars on Social Media (SM).

Marketing: the action or business of promoting and selling products or services, including market research, strategy, and advertising.
Marketing is a brand conversation with the market.
I always say that sales and marketing are a marriage. This marriage in the business language is called: The Business Model. The way to make it work is when sales support marketing with a competitive offer, and marketers talk with the market, exposing this offer to the customers where they at.
I’ve noticed that many business owners are facing these challenges:
Do you know what digital marketing actions perform the best for your business? What part of marketing is worth investing in? Do you have a YOY marketing strategy? How to use data science to create a better user experience with your brand?
To succeed in marketing for your business you don’t need to know the answers to all these questions. You don’t need to be a marketer but you need to be a leader. Find experts that know marketing. See things from a perspective. Commit to the process, and make decisions.
If you are an entrepreneur you know that the virtues to succeed are: persistence, consistency, commitment, patience, and surrounding yourself with people who know what you don’t know. The same rules apply to marketing success.
The solution to avoid ineffective marketing and waste of money (like the client I mentioned at the beginning) is to admit that it is a complex process that you might not understand. Then, commit to working with the experts whose job is to figure out the optimal strategy for your business and pursue this strategy long-term.
Don’t treat marketing like your girlfriend or lover. Instead, treat it like your wife.
I’d love to hear what are your marketing challenges. Here is my calendar let’s chat!
